About
Bluetooth wirelessly connects devices together over short distances. It uses radio waves to connect things like wireless headphones, keyboards, and fitness trackers to phones or computers.
Connecting over Bluetooth has risks: it can expose private information, allow a person to send viruses to your device, or even enable a person to control the Bluetooth device.
This web page explains how to reduce the risk of this happening.
It includes four short videos showing you how to turn off Bluetooth on different devices.
The web page is on the website of the eSafety Commissioner of the Australian Government.
